If you're thinking of adopting a dog who loves to take every ounce of love and attention you need to give, you've come to the right place! These are the breeds that love to cuddle! Of course, all breeds can be cuddly, including mixed breeds, but this list is for dogs who really love it down the line.
Remember, adoption is always the best option. All of these breeds are available from local animal shelters and rescue services.
1. Skye Terrier
This compact dog is not your typical terrier type. Give this dog his daily walk and he will be content to curl up on the couch. As long as his human is close, the Skye Terrier is a happy non-camper.
2. Tibetan Spaniel
The Tibetan Spaniel was bred for companionship and requires a daily leg extension (like all dogs) before regaining its place on the sofa, next to a warm body of course.
3. Newfoundland
Weighing between 150 and 175 pounds, Newfoundland is an incredibly easy breed to keep happy with. After a walk, they're content to stretch out onto a lazy boy next to their human. However, you may wonder why humans are not so interested in sharing the furniture with them.
4. Basset Hound
These hanging-eared canines are just as pleasant to watch as they are snuggling. Bassets are likely to share a companion's tastes in movies, music, and snacks, provided they are given initial dibs for the snacks.
5. Whippet
6. Great Dane
Don't let the size fool you. Great Danes are incredibly relaxed and content to bask in the warmth of the sun next to the person they love most. Snacks are optional but should be considered. Daily walks are encouraged to increase appetite.
7. Havanese
Happy, loyal, happy, gentle are some of the adjectives used to describe the Havanese. They are considered playful, a thrilling game in the living room, a daily walk and hours of cuddling. That dog would continue to be cheerful and happy.
8. Chinese Crested
Regardless of whether the decision is made to live with the “powder puff” or the “hairless” variety, the Chinese Crested breed is considered to be charming and friendly. Use couch time to knit a sweater for the hairless who may need a little more warmth on cool morning walks.
9. English mastiff
Belly scraper. English mastiffs love a good belly scratch while stretching over the sofa and watching dog TV. The dog doesn't seem ready to go for his daily walk just because the sofa cushions are finally where he wants them.
10. Greyhound
Relaxed and devoted, greyhound owners describe this breed in two words. These racing dogs have earned their place on the couch. On a daily stroll through the city, there's nothing like circling a pillow three times and dropping for a spell. Source
